Do You Have A Group Wanting to Serve?
You’re in the right place, then! We would love to have your civic group, church organization or corporate group serve at the Ronald McDonald House. There are several different opportunities to get involved, we feel there is something for every group. After a long, stressful day our families look forward to the many groups that serve selflessly to make their day or evening a bit more peaceful.
Provide A Meal
One of the easiest, most tangible ways to meet a need at the Ronald McDonald House is to provide a warm, home-cooked meal to our 73 families. You don’t have to be a world-class chef to prepare a meal. Volunteers like you make a tremendous difference in the lives of our guest families and the feeling you get from helping others will feed your soul.
Before you volunteer…
- Review our Meal Group Guidelines
- ALL meal groups must complete a Meal Application , associated background checks and proof of COVID vaccinations at least two weeks prior to the date of service.
- 1 application per group
- Fill out our online Background Check (Provide information as directed on the form for each member in your group. This will be where you provide your proof of COVID 19 vaccination status so be sure to have it ready to upload)
- Corporate Group? Already have background checks on file? Fill out our online Corporate Background Check
- After RMHCA processes your application and background checks, you will be contacted to confirm your date(s), to schedule required training and answer any questions you may have that are not addressed below.
- Check out our Meals Calendar for available dates. Your date must be at least two weeks later than your application and will be confirmed upon completion of the application process.
- Group leaders must attend an on-site Meal Orientation. Your group leader will be contacted after your application has been processed.
Please Note: If you have provided a meal already in 2022, and would like to do so again, you do not have to complete the application and background check again. Contact the volunteer coordinator to reserve your date. However, if you are bringing new volunteers with you, we will need them to complete the background check form.
Prefer to provide a meal without serving it?
- Review open meal dates here
- Contact our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule your date.
- Once confirming your meal date, you may drop off a meal from caterer or commercial kitchen between 4pm—5:30pm. (All meals must be delivered to RMHCA.)
- Please have all meals separated into individual servings in disposable take-away containers

Love to bake or make casseroles?
Another great way meal volunteers can help feed our families is by bringing your group to make freezer meals or baked goods that we can freeze and serve as we need. If you’re interested, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator to reserve your date!
NOTE: We will not be hosting volunteer led activities until further notice.
Host An Activity
Our goal is to provide families with a variety of age-appropriate opportunities for activities, entertainment, and education while staying at the House. Groups can choose an activity that will appeal to the entire family, especially parents and siblings. Get as creative as you’d like: arts & crafts, music, karaoke and ice cream socials are just a few examples.
Before You Volunteer…
- Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age for family activities.
- Activity Nights are available Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
