The Moore Family builds a legacy for RMHCA’s future

Doug Moore experienced the mission of keeping families together firsthand when his company designed the wireless infrastructure for the Ronald McDonald House expansion. Doug became so passionate about the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA) that he was offered a seat on our Board of Directors in 2018.

“I try to serve every chance I get. Being part of the Ronald McDonald House family is an opportunity to serve families who need some hope in the midst of a very trying time,” Doug says.

Doug supports our mission in many ways, including involving his company in fundraising events and serving meals to guest families with his fellow board members. Now, he and his wife, Christy, have built a legacy for the next generation of guest families.

“Learning that my wife and I could set aside some of our estate for the House’s wonderful mission made us so happy,” Doug says. “It was easy to do, and we plan to continue to grow that gift as we continue to be blessed.”

RMHCA is grateful that supporters like Doug and Christy believe so strongly in our mission and organization to leave such a gift.

“The House staff always looks for newer or better ways to serve guest families,” Doug explains. “As Coach Nick Saban says, ‘the process never sleeps.’ You can rest assured that RMHCA will use whatever you are willing to give wisely and effectively.”

However you decide to support RMHCA, know that you’re building a stronger future for guest families who desire only to be near their sick or injured child.

“As you make decisions about what to do with your assets, your legacy could be in the lives you touch at the Ronald McDonald House long after you are gone,” Doug says.
