An alumni guest family has opened their hearts to give back to RMHCA.

The Cora Blake Chapman Softball Invitational will include two days of competition between six central Alabama high schools. All proceeds will benefit families served by RMHCA.

This event is even more special because it honors the memory of Bryon and Hannah Chapman’s daughter, Cora, who was born in summer 2018. Sadly, Cora was diagnosed with a rare, fatal genetic condition and passed away at the end of last year. Bryon Chapman says he and Hannah want to give back because of the generous support of their friends, family, school and surrounding community “during this storm.”

“We have been forever changed by Cora and the people we met along the way. From day one, we said that no matter what we wanted to let God’s light shine through all of this. Unless a person has received support from RMHC they truly do not know great it is! Even if we are able to help just one person it will be worth it,” he says.

You can attend the games on April 12-13 at Southeastern School in Remlap. Admission is $7 for one day or $12 for both days. Concessions will be available throughout the event and you can make an additional donation for RMHCA at the gate.
