Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Alabama says a warm "welcome" to the families of children receiving medical care.

Families at Birmingham's Ronald McDonald House enjoy a cozy bedroom, cooking, laundry, internet and recreational facilities, dinners provided by volunteers and the support of other families and a caring staff.

On November 10, McDonald's U.S.A will celebrate McHappy Day, kicking off the annual Give A Hand® fundraiser from November 10 through November 20. One hundred percent of proceeds from the purchase of a $1, $3 or $5 paper hand at local participating McDonald's will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama.

McHappy Day continues to be McDonald's global signature fundraiser benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities around the world. This fundraiser is just one more way McDonald's, its employees, Owner/Operators, suppliers, and customers demonstrate how small contributions can add up to make a huge difference in the lives of children. Since 2002, countries around the world have raised $170 million during McHappy Day events.

Giving Back All Year Long

McHappy Day also celebrates the commitment McDonald's and their customers have to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama throughout the year. In participating restaurants across North and Central Alabama, McDonald's donates a portion of proceeds from the purchase of every McDonald's Happy Meal® or Mighty Kid's Meal® - 365 days a year!

These are just a few ways McDonald's encourages customers to give a little and help RMHCA bring smiles back to children's faces. Through monetary gifts, in-kind donations and volunteerism, McDonald's and their customers help RMHCA strengthen families during the most difficult time of their life.
